The Bottle Aged Wines of Seven Stones Winery: The Saving Grace During the Okanagan Grape Shortage

Seven Stones Winery began as a hayfield and the dream of founder George Hanson well over 20 years ago.

George was a proponent of bottle aged wine and whole heartedly believed that “no wine shall be drank before it’s time”. He felt that customers should be able to buy wine that they could drink right away and not have to cellar and wait for it to be drinkable in the future.

The forward thinking of founder George Hanson may just be the saving grace for the business today. Wineries in the Okanagan are running short of inventory reducing their sales capacity and in turn affecting the cash flow in their business.

In the face of grape and wine inventory shortages that are plaguing the Okanagan Wine Industry, Seven Stones has a robust inventory which is estimated to be enough bottled wine to keep the revenue flowing for the next 3 years.
